UniJobs Lecturer of the Year

UniJobs Lecturer of the Year award re-opens for 2011
It is with great pleasure that UniJobs, Australia’s University Job Website, can announce the commencement of the Lecturer of the Year Award in 2011.

As of March 02, 2011 both staff and students from all Australian universities will be eligible to vote for their favourite lecturer and put them in the running to become the 2011 UniJobs Lecturer of the Year.

Conceived in 2007, the initiative aims to reward exceptional academic staff by giving their colleagues and students an opportunity to turn their admiration into action. Last year over 72,000 nominations were made, and over 4,000 nominees from all 39 Australian universities were up for the important academic award.

UniJobs Director Jarrod Kanizay believes the initiative is an important morale booster for university staff. “It’s common for universities to reward their staff, however we find that most nominees are in awe about their nomination”, he said.  “More so because it comes from the most important selection panel of all, the students they teach and the people they work beside”

To nominate somebody for the award, simply head to http://www.lectureroftheyear.com.au and follow the prompts.

Nominations close 30 November, 2011.
